Wedding & Portrait Photography that WOWS!

A vibrant, multi-cultural wedding at Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, Maryland. (Just some words here for that silly SEO algorithm!) But onto the good stuff below..
When two people decide to get married, there are lots of decisions on which traditions should be incorporated into their wedding day. And when both have such beautiful and meaningful cultural traditions, as was the case for My-Linh and Jonny, you might choose to honor them all! So on a crisp, clear Saturday in early November, these two lovebirds brought their elegant and cozy wedding vision to life!
The Woodend Sanctuary delights nature lovers with its lush 40-acre oasis of meadows, woods, and gardens. Along with the Georgian Mansion, which headquarters Nature Forward (formerly the Audubon Naturalist Society), the sanctuary offers endless opportunities to create a magical wedding celebration. And this vibrant, multi-cultural wedding took advantage of all the great rooms, terraces, and natural settings to guide guests through a big, joyful celebration!
In stunning Vietnamese attire, My-Linh and Jonny shared their first first look on the balcony (with many eyes peeping excitedly!). Shortly after, they performed an exuberant Vietnamese tea ceremony full of acapella singing, gifts, giggles, and of course tea! Guests soon enjoyed a delicious spread of Vietnamese delicacies on the terrace. Meanwhile My-Linh and Jonny used the library for their thoughtful Ketubah signing before a wardrobe change. (Cue general silliness between My-Ling and her favourite ladies!) A second first look followed outside before My-Linh and Jonny ventured to the grove for their sweet and emotional Jewish ceremony under the chuppah. We snuck away to frolic in the field before the reception festivities began and then it was more delicious food and dancing late into the night!
My-Linh and Jonny, you entertained one of the busiest timelines that I’ve ever worked with, but I couldn’t have imagined leaving anything out! Somehow, it never felt rushed, and instead was filled with so much thought, beauty, and joy! Was it because you had the “A team” of vendors–shoutout to Ms West of Fairy Godmother Events–, family, and friends to ensure there was no room for stress? Probably! Was it also because you two are the sweetest humans and were fully immersed in all the moments of your amazing day?! Most definitely, and I thank you so much for allowing me to capture that.
