A Winter Engagement Adventure (just some words here for that silly SEO algorithm!) But onto the good stuff below..
There are engagement sessions. And then there are engagement adventures! And THEN, if you want to go all out, there are engagement adventure weekend extravaganzas! (Because who doesn’t need an excuse to celebrate their engagement in their favourite place for a whole weekend?!) So not only did Callie and Eric get to show me their favourite mountain town of Frisco, Colorado, they got to give me the full-on experience of the best skiing, hiking, eating, dog snuggling and more!
We had a very chill Friday evening after they picked me up from the airport (thanks, Eric, for driving!) with goals of an early Saturday getting out on their favourite slopes at Copper Mountain. If you think tail-gating before a concert is fun, try it before then sun comes up so you can be the first one on the fresh powder! (We did not do this, but I’m just saying you should!) It was a gorgeous, sun-shiny day and we got in several runs–and several fun photos–before stopping to enjoy a picnic lunch on the mountain. (Side note, it was during this picnic at Flyer’s that I heard a voice above the crowd and turned to see a friend from long ago–like 10yrs–when I lived in Aspen, CO! Have you had that kind of crazy run-in experience?! I put random run-ins like that in the 10 cool experiences that happen in life!) TL;DR — PERFECT LOW-KEY ADVENTURE DAY.
Sunday was another sunny day and we explored downtown Frisco with a stop at their favourite brewery, Outer Range. Then we visited their wedding venue on the banks of the Blue River in Silverthorne before catching sunset at Sapphire Point where they got engaged. I mean, if I could have planned the weekend out, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. And best of all, they will have those photos to remind them of exactly how they love to spend time together!
Do you want to plan an epic engagement adventure weekend and have it all captured?! Because you should.. and WE CAN make that happen! Hit me up HERE if you have an awesome idea or what to see what’s possible!
