Digging up a draft blog from the past that I must have forgotten to post (thanks, COVID!) and feeling as happy with the images of these candid wedding moments as I did when I captured them. Well, a good photograph should be timeless, right?! And of course, to include the original caption:
Unlike engagement and wedding portraits (you can see those respective posts here and here), when capturing candid wedding moments, the lighting and backdrop may not be perfect, but the expressions and movements are priceless.
So here they are. My hard-core, narrowed down, and then narrowed down again favourite candid wedding moments. None of these images were directed. It was simply a matter of having a great connection with the couple and forming that trust I need to be curious. And of course the lightning speed of a girl who gets her camera where it needs to be (lol). Cheers to these amazing 2019 couples! You rock! And to those who I will be seeing in 2020*–I can’t wait to capture your story too!
*And while I never saw most of those couples in 2020 (again, thanks, COVID), we had a blast in 2021 and I’ll be sharing the best of those soon!
