Next up on my Best of 2019 series is wedding portraits. The majority of a wedding day for me is capturing candids, candids, candids. And while I could go on and on about how much I love candid images–and I will in my next blog post–wedding portraits are incredibly important as well. Unlike engagement portraits (see my best of 2019 engagement portraits post here) where we have hours to play and get creative, on the wedding day we only have a short time. I scout ahead for the coolest spaces at your venue where we can creatively capture an image that blends its beautiful environment with the essence of your vibe. It’s also probably the only time on your day when you’re not surrounded by friends and family. It’s a time when you can just focus on each other and take a moment to let the magic sink in. So while you connect with each other, I get to run around playing with the space and light and texture that surrounds you. We make it fun, we keep it as short (or as long!) as you want it to be, and we get you back to your feature presentation.
Sweet and joyful. Passionate and exciting. Intimate and artistic. There are so many ways to celebrate and they are all truly perfect! Most importantly, they are the truest representation of the bride and groom. So here’s my faves. The ones that I can’t stop looking at. And I hope that as you scroll below, your immediately transported to the feeling of each couple’s wonder-filled wedding day.
