Maria and Jonathan’s wedding was my first one back to work after the birth of my second son. After having a long break off, I was eager to get back to work, but wondered how I would fare spending the whole day running around a large farm in the August heat. Little did I know that this crew would be so hilarious and energetic and I would love every minute of their hot, bright, and beautiful celebration!
The entire day took place at The White Barn at Lucas Farm, a relatively new, award-winning venue on the edges of Western Maryland. It offers so many beautiful options for shooting, from the old Oak tree in the middle of the cornfields, the ceremony arbor in front of the pond, a big grassy lawn with a fire pit and metal chain silo, and of course, the stunning, no-detail-left-behind white barn. Maria and Jonathan were up for anything so we took advantage of every location, and regardless of whether it was the entire wedding party, their family and friends, or just Maria and Jonathan, I don’t think there was a spot where something silly didn’t ensue during portraits! Thus, as you scroll through the highlights of their joyous day, you’ll see plenty of outtakes, silly faces, and belly-laughter eruptions!
Thank you, Maria and Jonathan, for reaching out, choosing me as your photographer, and letting me capture all the imperfect perfection that was your wedding day.
Many thanks to the incredible creative vendors who made this day so amazing!
